What can we expect the course to be like?
- We keep all our courses to a maximum of 16 delegates to allow us to keep the optimum learning conditions for each course.
- The course involves a mixture of presentations, pair work, group work, discussions and case studies.
- The 2 days are intense but thought- provoking!
How much does the 2- day YMHFA course cost?
- The course costs £300 for the 2 days’ training, refreshments, course manual & workbook and certificate, to be paid in full before the course start date.
- Schools and other institutions wishing to host a course in their own establishment in Kent, may qualify for one free delegate place, in return for exclusive use of a training room and refreshments on site. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
- Courses required out of Kent will incur additional charges to cover our Trainer’s travel and accommodation costs.
On completion of the course, you will be able to act as a Youth Mental health First aider at home and/ or in the workplace and receive:-
- a copy of the MHFA England Manual to keep for future reference.
- a copy of the MHFA England workbook to keep for future reference.
- a guide to being a Youth Mental health First Aider in the workplace and guidance for your employer on how to use Youth Mental Health First Aiders.
- guidance on how to find practical resources to help support young people and their mental health.
- a certificate of attendance from Mental Health First Aid England.
